Our story
ENGAGE! is an independent book, toy, comic, and collectible store located at 149 N Queen St Martinsburg, WV. The store is the brainchild of the owners who have an extensive history working in the retail world. After many years of designing and planning the concept of the store, it all came to fruition on May 16, 2020 amid the coronavirus outbreak. The lease for the store space was signed just as the outbreak was beginning and it was decided that it would be best to proceed as planned with additional considerations accompanying the original design plans.
The store has a large selection of books in most categories that are new, unread copies, with some used/collectible volumes included some of which may be no longer in print. The comic section is ever-increasing with an array of collectible figures available. The children’s section includes a play area with large waffle blocks, chalkboard, rocking chair, and a hand washing sink. Board games and science fiction memorabilia complete the remainder of the store with a Star Trek section that is unlikely to be matched anywhere.

As the nation and the area recover from Covid-19, the store will host author events, children’s story time and game nights for adults and children. Currently the store is open Mon-Sat 10am-5pm and Sun 12 noon-4pm.
